Launch of SUN Foundation Ambassador Program (SFAP)
On 26th August 2019, SUN Foundation organized an event at Vidya School, Gurugram, where approximately a thousand students took a collective pledge of doing their bit to live a sustainable life, and contribute towards the sustainability agenda. The pledge was aimed at galvanizing the youth to be champions of sustainability and motivate others to be advocates of clean energy. SUN Foundation aims to target more students and schools for this pledge-taking for a wider outreach and a greater call to action on environmental issues.
The launch of the SUN Foundation Ambassadors Program (SFAP) was marked by the pledge-taking ceremony led by 16 existing ambassadors, who took the opportunity to make the large gathering comprising of a thousand students commit to living sustainably and become clean energy advocates. This was the first such gathering where mass-pledges were taken, with SUN Foundation intending to reach 10,000 pledges over the next one year for maximum impact and engagement.
